About This Site

A Wine Renaissance is Underway…Get on Board!

The world is in the midst of a wine renaissance. No where is this more evident than right here in the U.S. of A. At Vinesse, we and our members have been participating in this remarkable rebirth of wine in America since we formed our first club in 1993.

Our Mission Is To Make the World of Wine More Accessible To You

Our mission at Vinesse is to make sense of this wide, wide world of wine for you. We make it accessible, and we make it enjoyable, regardless of where you live.

If you’re a lover of wine, this site is dedicated to you. It’s our shared library and you’re welcome to come in and explore. Make the most of your time by using the categories and the search function. Also, leave a comment, start a dialogue, ask a question. Come back often and check in to see our daily postings. Wine, like other enjoyments in life, rewards knowledge about it. Simply put: the more you know, the more you enjoy.

The World of Wine, From A to Z

For 15 years, Vinesse has been publishing our newsletters and musings privately for members in our member-exclusive GrapeVine newsletter. We’ve written on just about every wine-related topic there is, from the aromas in Adelaide to the zeitgeist of Zinfandel and back again.

Until now, only Vinesse wine club members were able to read our newsletters. However, we were eager to share this treasure trove of writing with as many fellow wine enthusiasts as possible. The world of wine is just more rewarding when more people share an interest and passion for wine. We’re glad to welcome you to our inner circle of wine-loving friends.

Driven by Members, for Everyone

The Vinesse customers and wine club members are the best wine fans in the world. They constantly send us links to their favorite sites, stories, ideas, favorite wines, wine tips, restaurant picks, tales of their travel experiences in various wine regions, etc. By incorporating the wisdom and experience of our members, we create a better experience for everyone.

On the world wide web today, there are so many web sites. Perhaps too many. But what’s so often missing in this web of information is a personal human quality. Oh sure, there are plenty of information sites that can name every winery in the world or list every wine for sale from Maine to Monterey. Frankly, it’s overwhelming and even we need a good guide to help navigate sometimes.

An Oasis of Sense in a Sea of Mere Information

That’s when we turn to our experience, our library, and our archives of stories and commentary on VinesseToday.com. It’s our oasis of sense in a sea of mere information. Come in, pull up a chair, enjoy as little or as much as you like, and join us.
