Donald Hess was born in Switzerland and owns wineries around the world.

Hess is known primarily for his Hess Collection Winery in California's Napa Valley. It's home not only to world-renowned wines, but also to a world-class art collection. The Hess Collection is one of a handful of must-see Napa destinations.

Hess also owns the Peter Lehmann winery in Australia and the Glen Carlou winery in South Africa. And in Argentina, he is the proprietor of two estates - Bodega Colome and the recently acquired Bodegas Munoz.

A special feature on Hess is planned for an upcoming edition of the Grapevine, official publication of the wine clubs of Vinesse. The feature is scheduled for the second quarter of 2011.
