     The 19th annual Zinfandel Advocates & Producers Festival is less than three weeks away, and this year's theme is "Zin in Paradise."

     In this case, "paradise" is defined as "Hawaii," and the event - scheduled January 28-30 in San Francisco - will feature a dinner spotlighting Hawaiian regional cuisine.

     Here's a day-by-day look at what's planned...

     * January 28 - Good Eats & Zinfandel Pairing.

     From 6 to 9 p.m. at Fort Mason Center, 50 restaurants will offer small bites to pair with dozens of Zinfandels crafted by an A-to-Z of wine estates - from Acorn Winery to Z-52.

     * January 29 - Flights: A Showcase of Zinfandel.

     A seated tasting of limited-production Zins, running from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel. Educational seminars also will be featured.

     * Also January 29 - Evening With the Winemakers.

     This is the aforementioned dinner, and a Zin winemaker will be seated at each table. There also will be a live auction. The Mark Hopkins Hotel is the venue.

     * January 30 - Grand Zinfandel Tasting.

     It's back to Fort Mason for a three-hour Zin-tasting extravaganza, with more than 200 wineries pouring.

     You can learn more about the three-day exploration of all-things-Zin by going online to zinfandel.org.
